Makola NyƐmɔ (Makola strength)

Although red is known to symbolise blood, it also represents strength. Blue stands for harmony whilst the deep purple informs the that I am speaking of feminine qualities. Many of characteristics that you will see whilst walking around Makola market in Ghana is linked to women. They are the strength of the market, the financial stability depends on them. Without them Makola would cease to exist.
