The bowl is named after the town situated on the southeast coast of Ghana. The towns name relates to the people, the Ada’s.

If you stand on the beach in the evening, strong winds will bring the scent of charcoal heating the oil that is frying fish caught by the fishermen earlier that day. The scent of fermented corn being cooked into banku whilst the sounds of sea boastfully greets the shore is a regular occurrence. Speaking to people they have dreams and apirations for themselves individually but also for their home to be prosperous and ecologically sustainable. These encounters are entwined into the symbols and colours used to create the pattern of this plate.
