Graduating MA Material Futures at Central Saint Martin’s School of Art and Design London, University of the Arts London, Ella emerged as an interdisciplinary material designer and researcher.
Material exploration is central to her design process, whilst combining technology and traditional artisan techniques that enable the elevation of materials by transforming the raw into the refined. Thus leading to a range of design outputs and experiences across textiles, product, and conceptual design that consider future social, economic and political trends.
Ella has exhibited at London Design Week, Milan Design Week 2014 and Tendence 2015.
'Project Saccharum’ was awarded the ‘Form 2015: Innovative Craft’ award for its use of sugar as a material.
Press features have included LSN Global, Craft Council, Catalogo Diseno, Material Lab, Mix Interiors magazine, Arts Thread and Clot Magazine.
